After leaving school, I studied construction at Bath College, where I gained a solid grounding across multiple trades. I later specialised in plastering in Bath, completing an apprenticeship with a local plastering and damp-proofing company before moving on to work with a Bath-based building firm.

That role exposed me to a wide range of domestic building services in Bath, including property maintenance, wet rooms, and loft conversions, while also strengthening my understanding of building regulations and quality standards.

After years of experience, I reached a point where I wanted full responsibility for my own work. I wanted to deal directly with homeowners, manage projects properly, and deliver the kind of finish I would expect in my own home. That decision led to the creation of Ely’s Bath Builder.

Over the last 17 years, I’ve completed thousands of projects across Bath and the surrounding areas, building long-term relationships with clients and a reputation for reliable, high-quality work. Many of today’s enquiries come through recommendations, often from neighbours just a few doors away.
